University Commons & Yoder Arena

Completed in fall 2000, EMU's University Commons provides state-of-the-art athletic facilities as well as a community gathering place. It houses the University Bookstore, Lion's Den snack shop and game room. It also houses student life office suites.

The gymnasium, Yoder Arena, is spacious enough to accomodate four full-court basketball courts and holds 1,800 fans at capacity. Dividers allow for team practices to overlap with recreational sports activities and other activities. Facilities include the only indoor pole vaulting pit in the region, batting cages, and a state-of-the-art athletics training room.
